Lior
Editorial ReviewEditorial Review
Arriving as if out of nowhere in 2005, Lior went on to become one of the most applauded independent singer/songwriters in recent Australian history. With his critically-lauded debut album Autumn Flow, he racked up three ARIA nominations and a J Award nomination for Album of the Year, as well as fans galore! In the time since then, Lior's been touring nationally and internationally, and working on a follow-up album, Corner of an Endless Road, which is due for release in February 2008.
Before then, Lior returns to local stages to share the new songs from the forthcoming album, including the single Heal Me, which will be released on 17 November. “These new songs are intensely personal and candid,” says Lior. “Think Led Zeppelin jamming with Nick Drake at a teahouse somewhere in the Middle East”. That sounds about right.
Lior is also particularly excited to be getting back on stage: “I started missing the freedom of live performance and can't wait to put these songs out there in real time," he says. No doubt, he's not the only one.
